The porter is responsible for providing service to guests outside at the entrance or in the hotel lobby, as well as performing basic security tasks. The main duties include transporting and storing luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, providing general information about hotel facilities, and managing transportation requests (valet parking or organizing taxis/transfers).

This role involves physical tasks such as lifting and moving luggage, and the Front of House – Porter spends a lot of time walking or standing. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, meaning the porter must deal with temperature variations.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Flexibility: Ideal side job for (Hotel school) students. Willing and able to work rotating shifts between 06:00 and 00:00, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
• Adaptability: Willing to work in and assist other departments if required by business needs.
• Driver’s License: Must hold a valid Dutch category B driving license.
• Physical Strength: Capable of performing an entire shift standing and able to lift heavy luggage.
• Communication Skills: Able to communicate in a polite and professional manner in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
