The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation in all public areas of the hotel, including both front-of-house and back-of-house spaces. As the role is carried out in guest accessible areas, attendants need to maintain a ready to assist attitude as guests may ask basic questions, such as directions. While cleanliness is the primary focus, delivering excellent guest service is equally important.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash from public areas and process according to procedure

• Wipe, dust, vacuum and mop various surfaces

• Clean bathrooms in assigned public spaces

• Ensure cleanliness of back of house spaces, such as locker rooms

• Clean both high and low surfaces

• Report lost & found items left behind in public areas to the Housekeeping Coordinator

• Report any maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Coordinator

• Transport rollaway beds and prepare sofa beds

• Taking care of equipment and tools

• Assisting wherever needed, always keeping the guest experience in mind

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Public Area Attendant is an advantage

• Knowledge of chemicals and cleaning techniques

• Fluency in English

Shifts take place between 07:00 and 23:00 hours, Monday through Sunday. Preferences can be discussed during the interview process.
